  • Emergency Rental Assistance Program
    Tarrant County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), along with programs administered by the cities of Arlington and Fort Worth, will continue to accept applications for assistance and sufficient funding is available to those who qualify. Renters in Tarrant County who are having difficulty paying for their rent and/or utilities are encouraged to visit Get Rent Help to apply. Funds may be provided for unpaid, overdue rent and utilities from April 1, 2020, and for future rent, with up to 18 months of rental and utility assistance provided per household. Residents may be eligible to receive funds regardless of their immigration status. Financial assistance provided through the program will not be considered income.

    Care House - Crisis respite program for youth 13 - 17years old. Qualification requirements include: Crisis originating in Tarrant County, cannot be facing possible psychiatric hospitalization and no intent for imminent danger to self or others. Youth must voluntarily agree to participate in program services. Length of stay is typically up to 30 days. On- site schooling and individual and family therapy. No fees; other than insurance for medication purposes while youth is residing in program. Youth stay 5 days a week and go home on the weekends.     Crisis Respite Unit - Seven-day residential treatment for adults 18yo+ who are at risk of psychiatric crisis in Tarrant County. Patient must voluntarily agree to participate in program services. No fees; other than insurance for medication purposes while youth is residing in program

  • Center for ASD
    Provides respite care for all age groups of individuals who are on the autism spectrum 6yo through adulthood. See programs and age groups below. Groups are currently MWF, but will resume to M-F starting 2021. Registration is required, and spaces are limited. Register by phone or email at Bilingual (English & Spanish).

    X-Cel: Academic day program for 6yo – 18yo youth. The program provides structured activities that include reading, language, math, play, social engagement, and more. Program also invites community partners in to provide music therapy, yoga, art, and behavioral support. Hours are from 9am -2pm, Fees: $45 a day.

    Grow: After school program, 6yo – 18yo, From 2pm-5:30pm, Fees: $25 a day

    Reach: Adult day program very similar to the X-Cel program for 18+. Hours are from 9-5:30pm, Fees: $45 a day

    Thrive: A once a month fun night out program for children 6yo – 18yo (siblings of youth on the spectrum can join this program). Must call for dates and times. Fees: $15 for the night

  • Christ Chapel/FW/Breakaway Respite Ministry
    Provides a fun and free evening for children with special needs and their siblings (up to age 12) while parents break away for the evening. Once a month from 6:30p-9:30pm on a Friday. Must call for schedule details. (Respite services may resume in 2021 due to COVID-19).

  • Easter Seals North Texas/Class-Community Living Assistance and Support Services
    Medicaid waiver program designed to help people with severe disabilities live, work and recreate in the community. Easter Seals provides case management services for the program. CLASS services may include physical, occupation and speech therapy, nursing services, daily living skills, adaptive communication devices, home modifications, medical and rehabilitation equipment, respite services, etc. This program does not pay for food or shelter.
