April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

This April, the Lend A Hand Luncheon will play an integral part in preparing for a community-wide campaign during National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The goal is for every participant to make a commitment to address child abuse and neglect in Tarrant and the surrounding counties. We believe that attacking this issue on a grass-roots level will lead to greater success in getting the public engaged in an issue that truly affects everyone.

Join Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, ACH Child and Family Services CEO Dr. Wayne Carson, and a panel of State Senators and Representatives as they discuss the Child Welfare System and Community-Based Care. Pioneered in Texas by ACH, Community-Based Care gives local communities the flexibility and authority to improve foster care services—particularly for high-needs children.

Supporters can commit to learning more and taking action. Have a Heart and Lend a Hand to help us bring awareness to this important cause. And don’t forget to wear blue on Friday, April 8^th for Wear Blue Day.
