Complement the work of your attorney, CPA, and financial advisor so they can serve you even better.
Vince McElligott, FCEP serves as a values-based legacy planner, walking individuals through the Periscope Path, by Thompson & Associates, a guided process that helps donors reflect on what matters most and ensure their plans truly reflect their values. While not a replacement for legal or financial advice, Periscope Path offers donors a confidential, values-first experience that results in a personalized roadmap to share with their advisors. This unique approach deepens donor relationships, builds confidence, and often inspires more joyful, mission-aligned giving.
“I know these conversations can feel personal and sometimes difficult to begin. That’s why Periscope Path is designed to be confidential, comfortable and entirely pressure free.
My role is simply to help you explore your goals and determine whether this planning process would be helpful to you and your family.”
– Vince McElligott, FCEP
It’s the first estate planning process we’ve experienced that truly spent time on value objectives. That was a great assistance in formulating our ultimate plan. This was time well spent. I highly recommend the process.
The sessions that we had really helped us to examine our plans and our intentions and our options. It helped us as a couple to make sure we were on the same page with our priorities and estate decisions. We were able to identify gaps in our plan and came out of the process with useful recommendations to act upon.
Vince was extremely patient with my dad and me. He encouraged us to pass down our values to the future generations, and he gave us plenty of wise recommendations about how we can best give to charity versus giving to Uncle Sam. I highly recommend him for his demeanor, his patience, and his organized manner.
Vince did a great job making a complex and potentially overwhelming topic understandable, positive and empowering.
I was skeptical at first about these meetings, assuming that someone would be trying to sell us something and that was so far from the truth. The knowledge we gained will be incredibly helpful for us going forward. I’d highly recommend that anyone who wants to make smart decisions about their future make the effort to attend these estate planning sessions.
I think this may be an especially helpful educational process for couples because attorneys provide little time educating on terminology and significance of choices. I think it is a great opportunity, not on a billable hour clock, for spouses to become more involved and knowledgeable than they might otherwise be.
