How do I sign up to volunteer?

Email Volunteers@ACHservices.org or call 682.432.1131 and we will contact you to provide more information about current needs and upcoming volunteer opportunities.

What do I need to do to Volunteer?

Depending on the volunteer opportunity, you will be required to complete either our Volunteer Forms or our Volunteer Application, full screening process and opportunity-specific training. Please contact ACH Volunteer Services Department at Volunteers@ACHservices.org or 682.432.1131 for specific information about current opportunities.

Is there an age limit for volunteers?

Volunteers under 16 may only volunteer with a parent present, AND a signed parent permission form. Volunteers between 16 and 18 may participate as a group, with signed parent permission forms and the presences of a responsible adult (i.e. chaperone, teacher, or group leader).

My group is scheduled for an upcoming volunteer opportunity. What forms do I need to complete?

I need volunteer hours for a class, extracurricular or internship. Can I do my internship or required hours at ACH?

While we are happy to verify volunteer hours served. ACH Volunteer Services cannot guarantee a certain number of hours or types of volunteer experiences to an individual volunteer or intern. If you are seeking volunteer hours for academic credit, please know that ACH only arranges field work/clinical internships through prior agreements between ACH programs and college/university field placement departments.

Do you have a minimum service commitment for volunteers?

If you plan on volunteering more than twice in a 90 day period a minimum of 20 hours to be completed within 6 months.

How often can a group participate in a volunteer activity or event?

Without screening, groups can participate once every 90 days.

Does your agency offer court-ordered community service?

No, not at this time.

Are there other ways to get involved at ACH?

Yes! We have a Women’s Auxiliary you can join.
