Respite Care

  • Center for ASD
    Provides respite care for all age groups of individuals who are on the autism spectrum 6yo through adulthood. See programs and age groups below. Groups are currently MWF, but will resume to M-F starting 2021. Registration is required, and spaces are limited. Register by phone or email at [email protected]. Bilingual (English & Spanish).

    X-Cel: Academic day program for 6yo – 18yo youth. The program provides structured activities that include reading, language, math, play, social engagement, and more. Program also invites community partners in to provide music therapy, yoga, art, and behavioral support. Hours are from 9am -2pm, Fees: $45 a day.

    Grow: After school program, 6yo – 18yo, From 2pm-5:30pm, Fees: $25 a day

    Reach: Adult day program very similar to the X-Cel program for 18+. Hours are from 9-5:30pm, Fees: $45 a day

    Thrive: A once a month fun night out program for children 6yo – 18yo (siblings of youth on the spectrum can join this program). Must call for dates and times. Fees: $15 for the night

  • ECI (Early Childhood Intervention)
    Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) is a statewide program within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for families with children birth up to age 3, with developmental delays, disabilities or certain medical diagnoses that may impact development. ECI services support families as they learn how to help their children grow and learn.

  • Family Crisis Center Johnson County
    Cleburne – Free counseling, support groups, educational programs, legal aid and emergency shelter for any victims of family violence

  • Methodist Children’s Home- GAP program
    The Gap Program provides services to grandparents and other relatives who care for children in the absence of parents. We support families by providing in-home assessments, case management services and support groups for caregivers, including legal support. The Gap Program builds on the family’s strengths and works with all family members to find solutions to the challenges of raising children in today’s complex world.
